2001 Diamante Muffler Replacement

The rear Muffler has a hole on its top side and the direct heat has created a hole through the Heat Shield as well. Both need to be replaced but finding the Muffler is unavailable from most sources, except the dealer.

Any suggestions or answers about locating an original Muffler and Heat Shield?

Thanks

Hi John_Chicago,

Papasmith again. Have you just tried a muffler shop? I don't know but it seems to me there is some flexibility in muffler choices for most cars expecially when there are professionals doing the installation. I am curious as to why your car manifested that problem. Do you have a lot of miles on your car, rust? I am just hoping I don't have a similar problem.

Good luck,
Papasmith
