Question Where do you jack an '05 Cav?

Okay, I know this is a very newb question, but I can't figure out where to jack up my brother's 2005 Cav with a floor jack.

On my Mazda, there's a reinforced "knob" thing in the middle of the car towards the front that's specifically there to jack the front end with a floor jack (I assume it's attached to the frame or something). But I couldn't find one on the Cav.

I did a search, but didn't find anything and I don't have a shop manual for the car. Any help (or perhaps a photo :P) would be very appreciated.

Thanks!

Re: Where do you jack an '05 Cav?

Well, I don't really know what a "body seam" is (but I assume it's someplace where the frame seams with something, lol) and I HAD to do the 1,000 mile oil change, so I just used the spare tire jack to put each side of the car on a jack stand. It worked okay and all, but it added a lot of time and effort to the whole process :P

A dark alley from a little old lady would be the easiest.

Re: Where do you jack an '05 Cav?

Depends on what kind of jack you are using... mine has a large surface area so the body seam rail dosn't do it for me, so i have found a different place. On the rear, just center it in the middle of the trailing arm, then use jack stands.

Re: Where do you jack an '05 Cav?

Not to be an ass or anything but if you dont know how to jack up a car, doesnt matter with what kind of jack you probably shouldnt be working on the car in the first place... if its for an oil change by the time u buy the oil the filter and do it yourself its about the same freaken price any way and sometimes doing it yourself can be more..
