Re: **Where To Get A Lift Kit**

There's a very good quality 2" lift kit from roughcountry here http://rough.roughcountry.com/Chevy_4wdS10_2in.htm

There are higher lift kits (5 or 6") but they are really expensive and way harder to install.

You can also pretty well make a body lift for a very low price, just surf the net

trail master makes a 4" kit , which requires an exhaust mod and cutting brakets off the frame , BDS makes a 5" , which erquires the same things , and super lift makes a 6" , which also requires the same things , i hear bad things about the quality of super lifts system , and trail master's isnt renowned for thier quality either , but ive heard good things about BDS's lift , all of the above lifts will clear 33's , but the tires will rub , and you will need to trim the bumper , but they will all clear 31 with no mods at all , the kits usually average about 1700$ just for the kit , and to install it will most likly cost over 800$ , and you will never be able to put the truck back to stock height

ive never been fond of body lifts , simply because they screw with all your linkages , especially if you drive stick , but other then that , brake lines , fuel lines , can all suffer from this , most importantly , your steering column angle
