15" street/track tires

I was wondering if anybody can recomend a good street tire that can still do decent on a track. I have 15x6.5" wheels. I was thinking of the falken azenis but, I've heard those are horrible in wet weather. I live in So Cal and the weather can change easily so I need a tire that can do it all. Also I've tried tirerack.com but they don't offer toyo or falken (2 of the main brands I'm looking into)

Yokahama ES100's. Very good grip, and good wet handling. I own a set along with a set of Azenis Sports, and yes definitely not good in the rain, esp. this past winter.

The Azenis (old or new) are fine in the rain. They are probably the best tire you can buy for dry or wet performancr as long as they have more than 4mm of tread left. I've won many times in complete downpours.

Well at about 40-50% tread left, mine hydroplanes VERY easily, and overall performed terribly if there was any hint of puddles on the ground. Of course this past winter here in So. Cali, anytime it rained, it was usually at the rate of "1 per hour or more! I would not recommend them to anyone for wet performance. I WOULD however highly recommand them for their dry performance. And they actually last a decent amount of time too! I had bought mine used a little over a year ago from a fellow auto-X'er who had put 500 street miles, and 2 Solo2 events on them before selling them to me as he no longer was going to use the tires or wheels anymore due to his car getting totalled. My own personal use saw 17k street miles, 3 auto-X's, and 3 very involved HPDE road race event track days, my last one last week putting I'd say the hardest 80 miles I've ever put on my car the 6 years I've owned it. Yes the tires don't have any tread left now, but they still handle outstandingly, actually they handle BETTER without tread than with it on the track.

Since the RT-615's won't be made in 215/45 16 size till possibly as late as Dec. now I'm hearing, I'm gonna give the Hankook Ventus R-S2's a try, a couple friends that have run them (one for drifting) said they are very good performing tires, they are also quite resonably priced and get good reviews so far what I've seen. Oh, and they are one of the few that come in the size I use.

Well that's true FOR ANY TIRE on the market. Just slow the heck down then. When rain is coming down that fast of course you need to slow down cause you will hydroplane ON ANY STREET TIRE no matter if it's Azenis or Hankook.

This was at like 45mph on the freeway, of course the tread depth at the time had a bit to do with it, but I haven't heard really much good about Azenis Sports in the rain, my ES100's were MUCH better for sure.
