Prothane Motor Mount Inserts

My car is getting a major tunning. We noticed that the original motor mounts inserts were totally ripped and the whole engine was 2 inches to the left. So in other words I need new engine mounts inserts. I came across these and they coast $60 plus shipping.

Are they any good ? I rather put those than the stock ones I can get from autozone or a dealership. Also, some guys at autozone said that it was impossible to put these inserts on the stock mounts I have.

On my civic, (yes a honduh as many people in the nissan/mitsubishi areas refer to them) I have energy suspension mount inserts and they made a huge improvement. Mine didn't need to be replaced though. I think the energy suspension are cheaper than the prothane inserts too.

Re: Prothane Motor Mount Inserts

the mounts are good. $59.99 was about the price i got mine for a while back at Summit Racing. the ONLY thing i don't like about the actual 'inserts' (front and rear roll stoppers) is that they cause a lot of vibration inside the cabin....because now instead of the motor vibrating, it's transmitted back into the cabin. oh and the guys at autozone don't even know what a motor is, let alone polyurethane mounts for your main engine mount and tranny mount, you'll have to have the old rubber pressed out to get the poly ones in, though.

Re: Prothane Motor Mount Inserts

I am also getting new pulleys. My car has already a turbo setup but its a non turbo 420a engine. What kind of pulleys should i get? Would stock ones handle more horsepower, the pulleys on the car are about 9 years old.

Are you sure those mounts will work with th 420A? I know the descriptiona says turbo and n/a but that might not be the 420A.
