My sister wants to upgrade her sunfire.

She has a 2000 sunfire with th 2.2L 115 HP engine... I think that means it also only has a 3 speed too, but im not positive.

The turbo seems like it really does alot but is it even going to matter if is only has the 3 speed transmission?

Also, as far as HP, how much would a cool air intake and performance exhaust help?

Re: My sister wants to upgrade her sunfire.

turbo the motor. The auto trans will take SOME boost, you might make it to like 200 or so horse power before the tranny is an issue. a CAI/catback wwill give you a little, noticable, but not too much. if she's serious about going fast, her best bet is a 3X00 upgrade, massive power upgrade in stock form. Major work, but well worth it IMO. another swap is the 2.3L HO quad4, about 200HP stock and can be easily made a 2.6L turbocharged monster. which is what mine will be in the notrealnear future.
