Re: Is Aoshima out of business

They aren't out of business. they released about 20 time more kit thant Tamiya last year.

They aren't very small either. It's one of the major maker.

Re: Is Aoshima out of business

From what I understand, some distributors don't carry Aoshima here in the states, so some LHS don't get any of their kits and may not even know about the kits. My LHS didn't get Aoshima for quite some time, and he had heard of them only from his brother who'd see them on ebay and such. Eventually, his distributor started sucking (well, sucking more) so he switched, and now he gets Aoshima and Hasagawa and all that good stuff. Yay!

Aoshima better not go out of business. They are one of the better kit makers. They make very nice kits, and many of them. I agree with Frank, sort of. Don't tell your LHS to get with the program, or yell at him, just say, "Gee, that Aoshima company makes a pretty big selection, I wonder how they would sell?" and stuff like that.

Re: Is Aoshima out of business

Its the same thing at my LHS, he only has Revell and AMT and maybe some heller and some old beaten fujimis; although i saw a aoshima kit today and figured it would be in safe hands with me, so i bought it

www.bluefincorp.com give that link to your hobbyman and see what he comes up with. They distribute Aoshima products in the U.S.
