92 cevy 1/2 ton rpm gauge bouce

When driving down the road rpm gauge fluctuates but engine speed
does not. What sensor do I need to replace/

the sensor is probably fine, sounds like you have a grounding issue

It was the coil. A new one cost $14 and works great.
