No low speed for blower fan

Thanks for showing me where the low speed relay is located. I switched the low speed relay with the new high speed relay and the high speed worked but the low speed didnot. The low speed relay is factory relay and is four pin. It worked for high speed. I noticed in one of your messages that both relays were five pin and interchangable. My high speed socket if five pin but the new relay i installed is four pin. Does that make a differance. I have checked for power on the socket for low speed and have power. I checked for power on the low speed resistor and have power at a differemt pole when i move the on/off slide switch. I have contunity across the coils of the low speed relay. I am at a loss to figure out why I have no low speeds. Could the fifth wire on my high speed relay have a bearing on the low speed. Do I need to get a five pin relay. At the parts store they told me that there were two relays one for $8 and one for $17 and both with the same warrenty. Me being a tight wat bought the $8 one. They didnt tell me one oas 4 and one was 5 pin. I cant remember what the first one I replaced was.
Thanks Much

The "Blower Speed Relay" can be a 4 or 5 pin relay.
The "High Speed Blower Relay" HAS to be a 5 pin relay.
The lower speeds work off of the underdash fuse #17 (25Amp) and the high speed works off MAXI-fuse #3 (30Amp).

"I checked for power on the low speed resistor and have power at a differemt pole when i move the on/off slide switch."

You will have power at each pole on the resistor but this does not necessarily mean that the resistor is good. Check for power at the dark blue wire on the resistor and see if you have power at the lower speeds.

The resistor should provide the following:
2.37 Ohms at lowest speed (yellow wire)
.54 Ohms at med-low speed (tan wire)
.16 Ohms at med speed (light blue wire)

From what I've seen, all 8 factory relays are 5 pin relays and are the same.
