radio trim

i have a 96 explorer and am trying to hook up an amp to my pioneer head unit. does anyone have any suggestions on how to take the trim off around the radio and ac controls so i can fish my rca cords down so i can run them under the carpet.

Take off your a/c knobs and 4x4 knob if you have it and there should be three 1/4" - 3/8" (It's been awhile) screws right above your a/c knobs. After that, just pull the damn thing off carefully.
