Windscreen Washer - Wiring

Hi

1999 GLX, 2 litre (UK), 120,000 miles.
Since I bought this car the windscreen washer has not worked. I was not too bothered as i was only using the car in a limited capacity. Now I need to use it more often and I guess it is important to see where I am going
I thought maybe the pump was broken but had a chance to take a look today. I have noticed there is no power lead connected to the pump. I can see the 2-pin connector where it should connect but cannot find any lead anywhere to connect to this. There are no spare leads on any loom in the whole engine compartment. I have purchased a Haynes manual but this is not covered in it. Is anyone able to check where the lead on your pump connects to in the engine compartment by tracing the route? I would be very grateful.

Many thanks
PajaP

This is still a problem. Does anyone have any ideas or have I got to take it to Mitsubishi and be charged a small fortune. MOT is due and this will be a failure. 3 garages I have tried have been unable to fix the issue. Suggested I find an electronics expert!
