how long does the timing belt last?
i have a 1996 eclipse spyder
i couldnt find any history on the timing belt being changed. and i bought the car from the auction jus 2 months ago. it has 105000 miles on it how much more life does it have? |

Like Louie said, it's the first part of the car's upkeep to look into. If you don't know if it's been changed, changing it would be a very good idea. Other parts should be changed with it, the full laundry list could be found with a quick search. If it does snap, your valves will get toasted, and that's expensive.
