1998 Ram 1500 5.9L Slow Start
Last couple of days, I've noticed when I go to start my truck it takes about 5-8 seconds for the engine to finally start. It use to just start right up, It doesn't turn over slowly, it cranks at the normal speed, so i doubt battery or connection is the issue here. If anyone gots any advice on this, it be helpful. Not sure exactly where to start with this. Thanks

It sounds as if the ignition system is giving trouble. Coil maybe or the rotor. Or maybe the distributor cap. I would have it checked.

Thanks for you help you guys, I have an idea its the ignition, I've tried the 15 second on wait for your fuel pump to repressurize and same thing, so my hope its the small ignition components, I'll post back with the results! Thanks fellas
