Re: diffuculty of putting on headers?
lol what!? Why would it be any different putting headers on a WS.6 then a regular Trans Am? Same engine. And no, you don't have to hoist the engine out. You just have to lift it up a good 3 ft or so (well, for long tubes that is) to get the new headers in. As for the links, just google "electronic cutout"
Edit: That is, lift the car up 3ft or so, not the engine up. I tend to get vague on details.

Re: diffuculty of putting on headers?
QTP has the cutouts you are looking for. But you are better off with a good flowing exhaust, people have problems with cutouts.
You need to get the car in the air, but you don't have to hoist the motor at all. Trust me, I know. ![]() Just get it high, and support it well with stands. It will take a couple hours. Be patient with things, sometimes it takes a few tries to get them positioned right.

Primaries will be 1-3/4" to 1-7/8" or there are the stepped headers. Like Mr. Lous said, collectors are generally 3".
Stick w/the 1-3/4" primaries.... they make good power and will support upwards of 500rwhp before sacrificing anything to the larger stepped pieces. Also, as mentioned.... get the car UPpppp in the air. Depending on the brand/style(LT's vs. shorties), you may have to finness the passenger side in from the bottom. Good luck!
