Re: "Tink" noise when taking off and rear axle moves on initial accel
I knew a guy that had a bad stud on one of his wheels, made a -tink- noise. Worth a check. You should be able to isolate the area with listener outside the vehicle.

Re: "Tink" noise when taking off and rear axle moves on initial accel
Made made the same noise, then 3 studs broke off, and my wheel fell off(it's an 05). No it is doing it again, but I have checked the studs. It is from the front.

Re: "Tink" noise when taking off and rear axle moves on initial accel
It almost sounds like it's coming from the pinion area of the rear end. It only does it with the suspension loaded so it's hard to lay under there and pinpoint it. Definitely not the wheel studs

Re: "Tink" noise when taking off and rear axle moves on initial accel
Could it be a loose bolt in the axle locating arms, or the spring where it sits on the axle?

Same Problem. Anyone pinpoint this yet? I'm going out to rotate the tires, I'll check to the studs.

Re: "Tink" noise when taking off and rear axle moves on initial accel
A "dry" slipyoke will make sounds when it has to move slightly under load.
Might apply to the front slip yoke but the rear slip yoke is usually at the transmission. Try a couple of pumps of grease and see if it changes things. Check the slip yoke splines for wear too. JD
