87 Cherokee - air in radiator

My husband believes air in the radiator is causing his Cherokee to overheat. He cannot find the valve to bleed it. Any suggestions on how to bleed the air out would be most appreciated.

I've heard that if you remove the coolant temp sensor it will release some air, although I haven't had to do this myself. On inline six engines , the temp sensor is located near the left rear cylinder head, on top. Also, I just checked my 89 out with running hot in this very hot humid temp we are having, the fan clutch on my rig is not working. To test it, spin the fan blades with the engine off, and cool. It should spin freely. Now, start the engine and let it idle until it is good and hot, hot enough to turn on the electric fan, ( don't know if you have one or not) when the engine is up to temp, turn it off and spin the fan right away, it should be hard to spin, with some resistance, if it moves freely then the fan clutch is shot and is barely turning. It should, when the engine is warmed up , turn at the same rpm as the engine, if this doesn't happen, it will over heat. Do you also have the electric fan and if so, is it coming on , have a/c???
