Question installing an intake

when dissassembling the stock intake and replacing it with a new one, do i have to dissconnect the battery or anything else at all? and how do i do that exactly?

You should unhook the negative terminal so that the ECU will reset itself, and adjust to the new airflow numbers when you start back up. If you leave it hooked up, the ECU will eventually adjust to the new settings, but by disconnecting, you will accomplish the task quicker.
