Re: 94 Bravada Bouncy Ride
That's a good question. Has there been any improvements lately like the inertia valve shock from Edelbrock?

Man, this is a timely post. My 92 has soft rear springs. A real handeling problem since the freeway speed here is 75 and I like to push the limit occasionaly (oh, ok most of the time). I talked to my tire guy and he said this class of vehicles including the Ford explorers and other small SUVs were desigend with a cushy or bouncy ride. Kinda like the early Mustangs that would "sit down" in the rear when you hit the gas.
a previous thread had a recomendation for Monroe Sensa-Trak load levelers for the rear end. I checked this option out and found that these shocks would compensate for over loads, but that they wouldn't do much to help in normal load conditions. I'm considering getting the rear springs re-arched and adding overload leaves, or putting on air ajustibale shocks. Any input on this subject would be greatly appreciated. |

Re: 94 Bravada Bouncy Ride
My '97 handles lots better than my '92....the '97 has an anti-sway bar on the rear end, stock. I don't know what years had one but if a '94 had one, that would cover our '92 problem by finding a '94 Bravada, Blazer or Jimmy in the boneyard. You can get some adjustable shocks to set the ride where you want it.
The site advertisers might have what you need too. |

Rancho has shocks that allow you to adjust the ride from a dash mounted swith. No compressor, it just changes the valving in the shock. Only problem is i can't justify puting $500 worth of shocks on a vehicle I only paid $2000 for.
