Clicking when trying to start

Going to make this real quick....When I go to start my Alero all the lights on the dash come on and here clicking when I turn the key but no start what so ever......I thought the battery was dead so I jumped it with another car. It started and I left it running for a few minutes then turned it off, when I went to start it back up same thing happened, lights came on the dash and clicking when I turned the key.....can someone help me out.

Your battery is bad and needs to be replaced. If you can jump it then everything else is OK. The clicking you hear is the solenoid for the starter but it is not getting enough voltage to turn the car over.
