NOOOO!!! Dropped my model in the dirt!

I was painting and it outside and it just came off the stand! On my final coat too just as I was admiring it....should I just CSC it or sand it down and then just repaint the back?

Re: NOOOO!!! Dropped my model in the dirt!

Aww man that sucks! If it was me I'd be tempted to wash the dirt off, sand it & then repaint the yellow. However, most people on here, I'm sure, will advise the use of CSC and start again.

Make sure you tape the model to the stand so it doesn't happen again.

Damn! same thing happened to my Boxster!!
I was a bit luckier and managed to just rub it down but this looks like it's probably too much for that

Re: NOOOO!!! Dropped my model in the dirt!

Same thing almost happened to my C6, except the whole stand tried to go over. I caught it, but left a little fingerprint in the nose...might as well have let it go, it's got a lot of little fibers and such from painting it outside. Outside sucks.

Re: NOOOO!!! Dropped my model in the dirt!

Same thing happened with my Supra long ago...twice! Even though I used tape, it wasn't sturdy enough. I almost threw it down and smashed it right there.

That is such a shame. Yellow is a pain to apply, still just drop it into some DOT 4, and start again.

Damn! That happened to me but I saw the body was loose on the stand and foolishly believed I could balance it while laying 'one more coat on' !!!
