highbeam indication light flicker

i noticed the other night that when i turn on my highbeams, the light that shows up on the console indicating that the highbeams are on begins to flicker.

Any ideas? i was reading that flickering could be caused by the alternator?

if its the same one that indicates your daytime running lights are on, it means one of the bulbs on the outside of your car is dead, could be a headlight, brake light, blinker, even a liscense plate light or your reverse lights.....
