|
97 eclipse with misfire and CEL on!!!
I have a 97 eclipse that had been misfiring for a few days now the CEL is on... What gives. Please help.

First off is it turbo or n/a? How recently has mantenance been done (i.e. plugs, wires etc) The misfire itself is probably throwing the CEL, if all that is done you might have a bigger problems.

Check plug, wires, etc., first, but had misfire and light on my 98 at one point ended up just really shitty gas, used a fuel cleaner and never went back to that gas station, LOL. code said something about running lean or something don't remember

Go to like an AutoZone and have them pull the codes for you. They do it for free. That way, we can have a better understanding of what the codes are, and how to help you.
