98 Jimmy, rough starts

I have a 98 Jimmy, most of the time when I go to start it up, it cranks for a decent amount of time before starting, while its cranking the engine is shaking alot. The odd thing is when I start my car with my remote start it starts up just fine, so i tohught it might be somethin witht the pressure at the injectors, so i tried leaving the key on foir a little while before i try starting it, that didn't seem to make a difference. There was also alot of build up in the throttle body, to the point where the butterfly would almost get stuck closed, so I sprayed some cleaner in there and it didn't make a difference on that start up problem. Any ideas on what would cause this problem and how to fix it?

You always should do that, that allows the fuel pump to prime the engine.

You need to replace your fuel filter and do a complete tuneup.

How's the idle? Any SES codes?

It idles good runs good the only problem seems to be on start up, no indicator lights on but i haven't gotten it checked for codes

Check fuel pressure.
