Re: Trac Button?

hahahaha yes... very nice and fun indeed...
push and the lil orange light turns on indicating that ur traction control system is turned off. try turnin the trac off then shift to first gear and with the clutch in rev the engine to like 3,000 rpms hold it there and pop the clutch! hahaha if u wanna add to the fun, try turnin ur wheel when u do that. (this reply is purely educational, i do not encourage you the reader to try this stunt, the writter cannot be held liable for any damages)

Re: Trac Button?

ohh well i would just keep the traction controll on. what car do u have? i take my traction controll off for racing. and just sometimes when i wanna fishtail a lil bit, you could try drifting. but to your original question, the button turns off your traction controll. the traction controll takes power away from your wheels to prevent them from loosing traction on the ground.

If I forget to turn off the traction control when drag racing, it seems the brakes go on when the tires break loose. I've tried leaving it on while launching and turning it off before 1-2 shift. Didn't help. Better with it off while racing. TC on is cool in rain and snow... sucks when racing.

With Auto and not racing, I would leave it on... Mustangs can get loose.

Re: Trac Button?

Yeah I am pretty sure thats the way the mustangs TC works, it just applies the rear brakes to keep the wheel spin down. It bogs your car down bad too if you are trying to race.
