Any advice on what brand of spark plugs to replace my existing ones, I have a 97 GT with 110k. Also do I need a special wrench to get at the back plugs?? Thanks in advance for any help.

You can use any good quality plug. Just don't waste you money on the double and quad electrodes. I prefer autolite or champion but bosch are ok too, AC iridium plugs are also a good choice.

To get the back plugs you need a good plug wrench along with a universal joint for the extension. The best way is to rotate the engine forward but that can be a hassle. Good Luck!

I wanted to change my plugs...but just removing the wires is a pain. They seem like they are stuck, and since they are so deep, I am a bit confused as to what to use to remove them.
I am a former-Honda owner so take it easy on me! lol

No problem about being a "former" Honda owner at least you left the dark side of the force! There are a couple of ways to remove the plug wires. If you are planning on replacing them grab the boot with a pair of pliers and pull. Don't pull on the metal shields as they protect the boots. If you plan to reuse the wires you will need to grasp them with your hand and twist at the same time you are pulling on the wires. They should come off for you. It will take some muscle to get them off. I recommend you coat the inside of the boot with dielectric grease before you replace them. This will help you get them off next time.

i would suggest if you are replacing the plugs to do the wires too. a good set of wires can be had for about $30-$40...if any of the wires have cracks in them, or if the boots are faded or discolored then they should be replaced good luck!

p.s. GTPDad is right...dielectric grease should be used...it wont affect your spark, will prevent corrosion, and will allow you to remove the boot from the plug with out it sticking...
