valve tap???

i was driving in the rain a couple days ago and i think i might have sucked in a littel bit of water. after i turned off my car and turned it back on my friend said he noticed a wierd ticking noise coming from my engine. i couldn't hear anything but he told it was somethin called valve tap but never explained it to me. what is that and is it bad and how do i fix it?

if you arent blowing smoke and a compression test looks good. you are good to go.

Re: valve tap???

youe either need a valve adjustment wich cost about 60-80$ or you need to get your oil changed. Valve tap is your valves opening and closing.
