Hard to start when Hot.

Ok on my RS one day i was going to go to the Gym with my friend. So i was like what the heck ill check the plugs before i got. I had gotten new NGK plugs from the dealership like 3 weeks earlier checked em cause i was bored. they seemed fine. Then i put them all back in everything is hooked up fine. after that moment my car like takes instead of the normal quick start up after i drive it around it gets hot it takes like 3 or 4 seconds to start it up. what could that be? In the haynes manual for slow start when engine is hot. it says Bad battery connections especially the ground. Checked em they are all good. Bad spark plugs or wires mine are all good i checked them. Unless i was thinking when i took my plugs out my car was still hot that couldnt have done anything could it have? Also i dont think its fuel.

Could removing your plugs when the car is still kind of hot messe em up in any way? gaps are all good.

ok now im sored of confused but at the same time ive narrowed it down to being fuel. Ok this is my thing im guessing my fuel pump is going bad here is whats up. lets say i drive the car it warms up and all. i go back to start it if i set the key to the ON position fuel rail pressurizes i hold it there for 5 sec then try to start it it takes like 5 sec for the engine to finally start. but if i flick it to on then start instantly it fires up fast and normally. is my fuel pump failing not holding pressure or something? anybody who has had this before ?

You should never take the plugs out and put them back in when the engine is hot. You could ruin the grooves that they screw into. Trust me, it is much more worth taking the extra half hour to let the beast cool down than to do it when its hot. The other thing is did you screw them down with enough pressure? I'm pretty sure that 25 ft/lbs is about right. Use a torque wrench when screwing them back in to make sure.

Not sure about the fuel pump. I don't have any experience with that. Good luck getting it running properly again.
