94 A/C not working...
I've got a 94 intrepid 3.3l with 216,000 miles on it...
The air stopped working a while ago, and I've had it recharged a few times, but the air will work for so long and then just quit. At one point a dealership put in a dye type freon so that I could tell where the thing was leaking from. Shortly afterwards it looked as if the whole compressor turned green, so my best guess is the high and low pressure lines coming into the compressor are leaking. Would I have to replace the whole compressor or just replace the seals for the high and low pressure lines? Thanks! |

Re: 94 A/C not working...
It's best to replace both high & low side hoses and reseal the compressor, assuming the compressor isn't the culprit. Usually, if you see the dye coming out of both lines in the compressor, it could also be the compressor.

Re: 94 A/C not working...
Thanks for the info!
I'll see if I can find an a/c compressor on ebay for it and maybe some hoses... |
