Question Brakes..?

I went to the nissan dealer just to have them look over my car and they told me i need new brakes and blah blah blah all kind of stuff... since i have been puttin off brakes for awhile i decided tats what i would look into first. I wish i could go with the z32 but findin calipers is hard enough and i dont have that kind of money right now. I know most ppl go for brembos but i was wondering what other good discs are out there for performance or is brembo basically top of the line. i want to upgrade discs, pads, and im going to get stainless steel lines. What would be a good ideal setup for some hard street driving? I dont really know any other brands than brembo, and i would like to know whats good

Re: Brakes..?

stock rotors, Axxis or Hawk pads, and some ATE super blue brake fluid or equivalent.

Re: Brakes..?

Yeah, the rotors do nothing to increase braking power (unless they are to small for the calipers and you put in some right sized ones). They only help with cooling which means less brake fade, but you won't experience that on the street.

Re: Brakes..?

Re: Brakes..?

use Q45 calipers and rotors, they have 11" rotors and are two piston. Still have great biting power, (Qs are almost 4k lbs) but don't look as cool as Z32.jgycustoms sells a set w/ slotted rotors. but I'm sure you can piece together used parts for less than the $469 they're asking.
