2003 cavalier tranny

I have a 2003 cavalier. My transmission is messing up, or at least I think it is. It used to not shift right however I replaced the IAT sensor it has been fine since. Now the only other problem I have is when I turn the wheel to go around a corner it takes forever to shift and sometimes wont shift until I straiten the wheel out. Also when I back up and turn the wheel the driver side front tire makes a lound clunk noise. I have checked the fluid and it is fine. I think it is the part that keeps the driveaxle from popping out of the tranny or whatever it does. Also It makes I grinding noise when I hit the gas or let off while Im driving but then goes away after a few seconds of holding or letting off the gas. But its kinda like grinding gears but it dont mess up the performance and it is not as loud as grinding gears. And when I go after a complete stop sometimes it will feel like it slammed into gear or something. Somebody help me please it is getting on my nerves.

Re: 2003 cavalier tranny

My uncle said it might be the cv joint going bad but I also heard something about a solenoid in the tranny that makes it do this. Does anyone have any ideas what it could be. And if it is the cv joint how much will it cost and is it hard to replace?
