can i store dot3 in...
... a plastic paint bucket? it has an airtight(i hope, since it used to hold paint) lid... and yea... just wanted to make sure cuz the original container said to only store it in the original container, but i figured they are both made out of plastic so it would be alright.
it didn't strip the primer though... is that what it's supposed to do? this stuff is pretty sweet, but it kinda smells. i think i splashed a little in my eye... about what was on the model when i took it out of the dot3 and diluted with about 1.5 gallons of water. you think my eye will be ok? thanks!

Re: can i store dot3 in...
I've splashed it in my eye a couple of times. A GOOD wash out and you're OK, probably. If you have any doubts though, consult you doctor.
I now wear eye protection (swimming goggles )when scrubbing parts - I suggest you do the same.I store DOT 3 in a big jam jar - easy to pur in/out of and definately airtight and no chance of reaction.

From a mechanic who gets this kind of stuff in his eye all the time, your eye will be fine.

Re: can i store dot3 in...
i used Duplicolor gray primer. i looked at the body of the model and it is gray(i saw one very tiny whit spot) with a few metal flakes. does this mean i need to re-primer or am i good to go after a wash?

Re: can i store dot3 in...
yup, i'll just put on a mist coat of primer. the reason i had to strip it in the first place was because the paint was too thick.
