2001 V6 Galant timing belt R & R

I am in the process of changing the timing belt. I cannot loosen the bolt on the harmonic balancer. Is this bolt-reverse tread? Do you need a special tool for the bolt? The Haynes book that I purchased does not call for any special tools for the bolt.
