no interior lights

I started my van up today and noticed that the radio did not work, thinking the radio was busted, I purchased a new AM FM Cd player and installed it. while checking the wireing I noticed that the constant power wire for memory was not working. I used another constant power source to connect the new cd player. Now I have no interior lights and the radio works fine. the fuses inside the van and under the hood are all fine, can someone help with a possible problem..add to the problem I just noticed My power outside mirrors don't work and power rear hatch don't work. the hatch will work with the van started

In researching my problem I ran accros a post that said if the radio is changed you need to use a wire harness adapter. Some of the unused wires go to other things like interior lights.
Good Luck

If you got the wiring right you don't need an adapter . Their are no wires that would cause the problems you are describing , their would be 1 wire that would feed the dimming ckt for the radio display which is not used in after market radios. I would make sure your wiring is correct though .

I agree with vipergg. My problem was cause by a miswire on my part. I saw the other post describing a problem like yours and that was the reply, so I thought I'd mention it. I have no proof of it being a true statement. I probably shouldn't have mentioned it with out knowing for sure. I'd hate to send you off on the wrong track or to buy a $20.00 part you didn't need.
