96 ford taurus rough idle and speed sensor problem

Ive got a 96 taurus with about 150,000 miles on it. I had recently had a vandal try to remove some of my wiring by ripping it out. i had replaced all missing sensors and wiring but im still having problems....tried to replace the speed sensor but when i replaced it i had problems with the new sensor working worse than the old sensor....its not the transmission but im leaning towards the engine cpu.
