I hear what you're saying, but.....
JUST bought a '92 Maxima SE, got it for a steal at $1700, stick, 120K on it. The problem I have is decelleration. When I accelerate sometimes it'll just start decelerating on it's own. Only way to stop it from doing so is to get off the gas completely and then get back on it. Pretty much any gear, different RPMs. But it's not consistent, which is maddening. Oh yeah, and it cruises at like 65mpg+ like butter, you'd forget it was having issues.
It will stall on occasion, but not often, and the idle jumps around sometimes too, anywhere from 500rpms to 1000rpms like it's struggling. I thought MAF but that would restrict me above 2500 rpms period, wouldn't it? If it was more consistent I'd have a better idea. I'd like to think I got a great deal, unless the part is prohibitively expensive. |

Re: I hear what you're saying, but.....
Oh yeah, I'm not too new to the game so just some good advice I should be able to do the work myself. Had a '97 altima that gave me NO trouble, modded w/o rice, that I'd still have if someone hadn't pulled out in front of me while I was going 45mph.
