Unhappy 96 Blazer Bad idle

I have a 1996 Chevy Blazer 4.3 Vortec I just bought this vehicle I have replaced all the plugc AC Delco Platinum. I checked the old ones they were all uniform in color. The reason I replaced them It has a rough Idle . Thought maybe a miss fire. Also the dealer replaced the fuel pump before I bought it. Since the plugs did not fix the problem I removed the Throttle body and cleaned all the carbon off w/ a toothbrush. But still did not fix problem. My next guess would be the MAF. But the reason I am guessing, is because the check engine light is not on. But I do know that it works because if I unplug the MAF it comes on But the engine runs the same pluged in or not????? Thats the reason I'm thinking MAF because there is no change in condition of idle when I unplug it. Any help would be appreciated thanks

Re: 96 Blazer Bad idle

Did you also change the Dist cap and rotor along with the spark plugs?

Re: 96 Blazer Bad idle

Also check the spark plug wires at night time with engine running. Look for ARCING. Leaky wires will make your engine Idle poorly. How many miles on the clock?
