fuel pump realy
I have an 89 S-10. The truck stalled and after getting it home I checked and I'm not getting fuel. I replaced the filter and no change. I was told it may be the pump or the relay. First question is, where is the relay located? Second: When I tried starting it we did get gas to spray once and it started, ran for a few seconds then die. Then nothing again. Afterwards I notice a little bit of gas dripping from the tank cover. Was told that was a fuel pump problem. Any suggestion?

sounds like a fuel pump relays can go bad but more often it is the pump
try locating the wires to your pump then turn the key on and test the wires with a circut tester if you are getting power it is the pump if not I think the relay is mounted to the firewall on the drivers side of the truck |
