Anti-Lock light stays on

2000 Buick Century - ABS lite goes on after car runs for 15 minutes or more. Lite is off in early morning, but goes on by afternoon.

I am aware that ABS is not working, but the car will still stop on a dime.

Can this problem be fixed inexpensively? Is this a $1000 or more problem?

Re: Anti-Lock light stays on

It sounds like you have a bad wheel sensor and when you drive it for a while the light comes on. Have it checked by a shop with a scan tool. This will tell them where to look. May cost a couple hundred to replace but no more.
