Question Disable automatic lights at nite

Hey all,

This is my first time on this part of the forum. Just wanted to say hi.

My bro has a 99 GMC Sonoma. He wants to disable the automatic turn on of the lights at night. I know there's got a be jsut a simple bypass, either cutting out the sensor or whatever. How can this be done, and where' everything at? I'm his official mechanic, but I've only worked on s10/sonoma once before. Thanks in advance.

Re: Disable automatic lights at nite

in the passengers side dash speaker there is a little light senceor, if you take the speaker grill off, pull the sencors connector and stick a resistor into it, that will disable the auto night lights, if you want to disable the drl's (daytime running lights) search this forum, Blazerlt did a nice rightup on it, and it works as long as you take your time and get the right prong bent, lots of people do it wrong then say the mod doesnt work... btw, nice, clean talon

Awesome. He still wants the DRLs to work, he just likes having control over the nite lights. He's old school. lol.
