Brake Adjustment

Hey guys, Still havnt sold the Civic and i think i will keep it and fix it a little, been looking at integras from japan tired one yesterday, 94 with some things very similar to the civic but i can go like a rocket got up to 100kmh in like 10 sec and thats just all stock, Anyway my question is this. Can i adjust my rear drum brakes independantly to the front discs, because the rear left drum keeps locking when i brake - its only happening every so often

Re: Brake Adjustment

there's a star adjusting wheel. on the other side of the brake cylinder. it should be set so the drum can still spin but will drag a little.

Re: Brake Adjustment

0-62 in 10 seconds isnt that impressive. As for brakes, they are front/rear bias and are not individually adjustable. I would check it make sure its not just hanging. The way drum brakes are deisned they naturally will pull the shoes into the drum, thats why there are all the springs and such to pull it back.

Re: Brake Adjustment

100kmh is like 60mph... not very fast...

This is true, but that should auto adjust, and usually makes it too lose insted of too tight.

Re: Brake Adjustment

Well considering my car would take like 20sec to get up to that i would think its kind of fast considering i wasnt pushing it to accelerate, but as for the brake thing, there seemed to be a lot of dirt like everywhere all over it, mud and everything, probably from the very muddy driveway we have here, but i power washed it all off and i seems ok now, strange or what
