I don't hate Mustangs.
I don't hate Corvettes.
I don't hate domestics.
I don't hate Hondas.
I don't hate DSMs.
I don't hate FWD or AWD.
I don't hate Chevys, Fords, Pontiacs, Suburas, Nissans or Hyundais.

They are just things I have no desire to own.
That's me. Chances are you are different and you love what you own.

What I do hate. What I am really tired of.
Is the wasted time, energy and emotion that so many people in the automotive community spend hating.

It does no good. It advances no one and it proves nothing.
You will mostly likely never change the other guys view on your car or his.

Even if your 2.0 liter beats a 5.0 liter or your FWD beats his RWD, there is always someone faster.

How many threads have we seen based on or turned into:
Domestics vs imports, Chevy vs Ford, DSM vs Honda, Mustangs vs everyone .... ot hwo about these:

"How much power do I need to beat a _____ in a drag race?"
"My car is faster than a ______."

What about those wonderful stickers of Calvin peeing on another car brand? Poor Calvin comes off looking like he hates every car!

Anyway, cars are cars. They have different characteristics and different people like different things and that is good. Would you really want everyone to have the same car as you?

Hell, my life would be a nightmare if everyone suddenly realized that a '91 turbo MR2 with 400 rwhp was the car to have.
AAAHHHH .... I am grateful that there are so many differentcars and modifications to choose from.

So stop the hate. Cars aren't crap, people are.

Seriously, I am rambling and I am okay with that.
If everyone would just put down the hate and step away from the vehicle, they might actually start learning a few tricks from "the other side."

I've never really had a hate stick. I've always loved all cars, that's why i have Z28 in my login, my dream car is a Grand National, my dream sleeper car is a LeSabre T-Type with an L67, my daily for a while was an Accord, my current car is an Eclipse and i'm obssessed with finding a damn Skyline out here!!!

I've spent years hating Mustangs and a week or so ago I realized that I don't hate them. I wouldn't want on, but I have nothing against them.

There is a guy the races at the hill climbs who drives a Corvette and I have heard him say many times a phrase I really, really like:

"I own a Corvette, but I'm not a 'Corvette owner'"

good thread to go out there. I too just realized (as illustrated in my last kill in the street racing section) that I don't truely hate all those cars out there with numerous miscellaneous exterior mods strapped onto them but just realized that the owners of those types of cars think thats whats best..... Well I'd rather enlighten those types than hate on them anymore but thats just me.

Really good thread Jeff. After looking at pictures of the '06 Vettes, I would really love to have one. I would hate it if everyone thought the same way I did, and everyone had the same car as me. That's why I'm thankful for ricers, they make my car look soo much better.

Can't say I truly hate any certain car or certain car companies...I think each car brand has its strong points and should be respected

BUT, if subjectively I don't like the look of the car, and I don't think the engine is quality, and I've experienced or heard the tranny is garbage....how can I help but say that I dislike this car

I don't want everybody to own the same car as me, but if I think a car is uninspired, then in my opinion that is what it is...
