99 Astro guages going wild
While driving the guages on my Astro will go bonkers. The speedometer tops out, the other guages go to zero, the lights on my radio dim as well as the sound, the cruise control drops. The van runs fine during all this. After a minute or so, it all returns to normal. Sometimes the guages just fluctuate and then back to normal. Doesn't happen every day.
The dealer replaced the battery because they said I had a short in it. That did not fix it and now they are stumped because the problem is intermittent. Getting ready to go on vacation. Any ideas?????? |

Re: 99 Astro guages going wild
check all your grounds,,,,,,especially the ones on the backside and left backside of the engine, mine went nuts one day, i had doubled up on the grounds and wound up seperating them, it took care of my problem, ya watched my speedoometer zoom up and down just sitting there, and the oil and temp gauges too, hope this helps
