lumina sputtering
i have a 91 w/3.1 the other day i was driving about 45 mph
then opened it to about 100 mph after that i started slowing down the car started sputtering and i could not excelerate any more. pulled over. the car was idling very rough and kind of smelled like raw fuel but no smoke or anything like that. went to take off again and didn't have any power the fastest i could go was about 10 mph did get any codes until i drove for about 10 miles got a 13 and a 22 the car has 220,000 it was running decent before this incident does any body have any suggestions i dont think it is a vac leek checked for that fuel pump is only 2 years old (30,000 miles) new plenum gaskets. getting fuel to rail and injectors the injectors that i can get to with the manifold together seem to be working i cleared the ecm of codes now and car still runs bad and same results i removed catilytic converter didn't change anything replaced tps, iac, nothing changes the situation |

Re: lumina sputtering
ok, code 13 is an oxygen sensor signal fault, and code 22 means that the throttle position sensor voltage is too low, or the fuel cutoff relay circuit is open or shorted to ground. I would probably first check all the wires and make sure they arent melted to anything, espeacially that O2 sensor wire being really close to the exhaust manuifold. If they all look good, first start by replacing the O2 sensor, and then if its not "all better" check out the throttle position sensor, you can do an ohms sweep on this. check for any resistance dropouts or spikes. Hope this helps. Good luck.
