high beams won't turn off...

I have a 1996 Sable which was running fine until this morning... The high beams just stay on... all the time, wether the car is running or not. The only time they shut off is if I am driving with the "night lights" on. Even at that, I have to disconnect the battery every time I park the car so the battery won't drain... Somebody help????????????????

Have you rec'd any help on this? My high-beam indicator (dash) stays on all the time even when the car is off. The lights work normally. The only thing I can see wrong is that one front side-marker light is burned out. I will replace it to see if it helps. Another forum mentioned that when the indicator stays on, the DRL Relay may need to be replaced. I do not even know whta that is. Let me know if you were able to fix thew problem. Thanks
