Unhappy Help I don't fit in there

I am trying to change out my alternator in my 89 Grand Am 2.3L with AC and can't figure out how to get the bottom bolt off. I took of the top bolt and losened the belt. There is no room to work on the bottom bolt without taking off AC hoses. I also don't understand how to work the belt tensioner. I pulled the tire and took of the mud guard so I have some access but not sure what to do from there. Please help

Hi Dave,

I have an 89 grand am too. Mine is a 2.5L.
Honestly.. get a new car HA HA HA! My car is in great shape but it's given me so many probs im ready to put satanic on my plates.. and when I go to replace parts or fix them.. I can never get into the bolts or anything either. There is so much stuff in the way.
Your alternator is probably in the same spot as mine. You can always remove some other parts around the alternator so you can get to the spots u need to but don't forget where they go back into place.
