GTX take two, WIP
Just started project number one zillion
Don't know why I can't finish one without starting another?Anyway, a couple of nights work and this is what I got. A Sapphire blue Prismatic bodywork. Stil no clear coats on, maybe tonight? There is going to be a new standard in slow updates so don't expect to see something very soon. Niclas ![]() ![]()

Nice to se that you are working again! Looks good and that collor suits it well! Is this going to be a "sister" to your other GTX or are you going with another look? Keep it up!

Re: GTX take two, WIP
The colour is Alclad2, one of their prismatics that I put over the same brand gloss black base coat. I'm excited to see how it turns out when the clear coats goes on. If I get the chance it'll happen tonight after the kids has gone to sleep.
Thank you, all of you! Niclas |

Those colors look amazing when you clear them, check out my 959 thread to see the green to gold. I now live by Alcad II prismatics... too bad they're so expensive...

Got an idea and thought that I should make some kind of checkerd look on the rear panel. Gold is the colour of my choice and then fade them out towards the door. Took a while to put the tape on but I didn't want to ruin the surface with a knife. Now I can just leave it for a while and kind of get the feel for it and stil be able to remove them without a trace.
Maybe I'll mist some more Sapphire blue over the gold and give them some kind of ghost apperance. Let me know what you people think, in the end I will do as I like anyway but it's always nice to hear other peoples opinion Niclas

Actually I have a set of wheels that's a bit different for this type of car. But not for the look I'm going for. You know the V8-Challenge that's going here in Scandinavia? Anyway, it's going to have a bit of a Racing look with a wheel set from a DTM-car, the old Warsteiner Mercedes. Five spoke wide rims that I plan to shoot with Alclad's Highly polished aluminium or Chrome and put on some threaded low profile tires instead of the slicks. I've just completed masking up both sides for the checkers and I will carry that theme on and maybe put on some sponsor decals and numbers on the sides and roof. Niclas |

Re: GTX take two, WIP
nice colour on what sounds like an interesting project!
I'm impressed with your masking job there! You cut out all the little squares then stuck 'em on one by one?!?!what kit is that BTW?
