1996 Subaru 2.2L vs 1994 Chevrolete Cavalier 2.2L

Hello guys Well Today 2 freinds of mine raced one of em have 1996 Subaru Impreza 2.2L OutBack Manual with Air Intake And Catback other freind have 1994 Chevrolete Cavalier 2.2L Manual Muffler and no Cats And Cold Air Intake And the Car Is Stripped Its very light have only 2 seats and roll cage everythin else its taken out ! well today we did coupe of runs light to light 1st run light gose green bouth take off at the same time subaru got a fender from a jump shift to 2nd cavalier start pulling a littel at the end of 2nd Dead Even shift 3rd Cavalier start pulling well race ended cavalier front weels was at subaru front bumper almost dead even but cavalier was pulling a littel. 2nd race next light subaru didnt have good lunch it was dead even at lunch switch 2nd cavalier is pulling switch 3rd cavalier have a car on subaru/ Race 3 green light subaru take off first had a car from a jump till 3rd cavalier catched up it was dead even! it was fun runs cars is not fast at all but still it was fun. now my freind in Subaru want it to make faster and he dont know what he should put in it so cavalier wont pull on him after 3rd May be you guys can tell some stuff to put it make it littel faster nothin expencive tho just to make it more faster so cavalier wont pull on it.
