91 rodeo 3.1L injectors not working?

I have a 91 rodeo with the GM engine. My problem is that there is no gas coming out of the injectors.A friend loaned me a tester for the injectors. You hook it up to the injector connection and lights up if you are getting juice to the injectors. nothing! so i thought it might be the ECM. replaced it ...still nothing?
any ideas? .. i'm stumped

sounds like the ignition module in the distributor has gone out.It is under the rotor bolted to the distributor housing.

is there a way to check it out if it's bad?
