Missfiring during light throttle

2000 JGC Limited 4.7 V8 is missfiring when at cruising speeds, both slow and higway. I felt kind of a bucking when my foot is light on the throttle but runs good when I step on the gas. Almost like low vacuum is causing the problem. Thought it was the transmition, but the tranny shop said it was getting missfire codes (didn't get the codes from them). Engine light was on and off twice and hasn't been on since (2 weeks). What's causing the engine to "buck" with power? I think I have coils on plugs if that makes a difference.

Re: Missfiring during light throttle

Check your spark plugs. If it has been more than a year since you changed them, change them now. Use regular champion spark plugs. They seem to work best in the chrysler engines....... You can change them yourself every year for the same

money as a platinium.

It might also be the cam position sensor starting to go too.

Re: Missfiring during light throttle

I'm going to change out the plugs today. Thought that might not be the problem, because it seems more like a sensor problem..like O2 or something with the throttle. Where's the cam position sensor...that can't be an easy fix.
