leaf spring u-bolt lift kit

Alright guys i have a 2000 Chevy Blazer i want to lift it but i dont want to spend a lot of money...I was at Advanced Auto Parts the other day and they have lifting blocks and u bolts kits to lift a truck 3". The kit is only like 30 bucks...Now that is a whole lot cheaper than the $1,000 lift kits ive been seeing...Would u guys recommend using the $30 kit. I figure id get that kit then get some heavy duty rancho shocks ...what do u guys think?

that's only going to lift the rear end, what are you going to do about the front?
my son wants me to lift the rear of his, but only to make it level.that sounds like just what i need.

Block and U-bolt kits won't lift a 94 S-10, they're spring under axle. Add-a-leafs are an idea...

are you sure it only lifts the backend...im looking at the box and it says nothing about that...it comes with 2 blocks and 4 u-bolts i think it does the front too

ok so im looking at the instructions and it only shows it for the back...why would anyone want a 3" lift only for the back...i mean even if it was sagging 3" is still going to make it more than level..is there anything similar i can use to lift the front?

im looking at a similar kit, wondering what my options are for my 91 s10blazer, i dont want a $1200 5inch lift

those are really your only options i have a 92 s-10 blazer and ive been looking into it too your best bet is to spend 110 bucks and get a 3in body lift if your just looking to get bigger tires under it. but because of the independent front suspention that GM loves soo much there are really not a whole lot of options when it comes to a suspention lift on the front end. you can tighten down your torsion bars but that will only give you about 1 in. there is a 2 in suspention kit on jackit.com but thats still gonna cost you about 900 bucks.

You also wanna stay away from the 2 and 3" suspension lifts. They don't keep the suspension geometry proper. So what what happens is that you will blow ball joints left and right... The TM 5" and I think SLP has a 6" (someone correct me if SLP isn't the one that makes the 6" please) that keep the geometry stock...
